Antique Wedgwood Cobalt Blue colored Jasperware Tripod Vase and Cover:

This is a fabulous 19th century Wedgwood tripod vase and cover. The tripod vase is dipped in dark blue. The dome cover and vase is decorated with applied white acanthus and bell flowers, gadroons and florets, the legs with lion masks and rings at terminal and set upon a triangular base. This is a very beautiful vase in good condition, except for the crack on the cover that was professionally restored and can only be seen under close examination--see images, and one of the legs tilted during production of the jasperware during the firing process--see images. It is 7 3/4\" high to the top of the finial, diameter is 3 1/2\" at the widest point, bases is 5\"x5\"x5\". It is impressed Wedgwood and England with serifs and small letters, which dates this piece from 1891 to 1903 and has a pattern mark on the bottom \"J\".
