Offering for sale this completeand working Watling Rol A Top slot machine.The top casting of the machine features a horn of plenty that has theBird of Paradise motif – a very ornate design that was an alternative to the morecommon design of coins or cherries. The lower casting features a twinjackpot. This was designed so that therewould always be a jackpot of coins in view to entice a patron to want to playthe machine. Jackpot payouts alternate between the left and right sideautomatically. The double jackpot is all original and complete and working.

This machine is a 10-centdenomination; and the interior of the cabinet still wears the original WATLINGpaper label with a SN hand-written on it: 90,496.

Per the Watling referencebook, this dates the machine to approx. 1939.

The case and castings are inoriginal and unrestored condition. The gold lacquer finish is in superbcondition and the luster and patina to the machine is just what you look for ina vintage Watling. Sadly, there is some damage to the lower casting around thejackpot. There are some hairline cracks that do not impact operation of themachine. Overall, the casting is still very solid and stable. Machine is pricedto account for this damage.

The mechanism is alloriginal and is in excellent condition. Thereels have their original tin metal strips with symbols that are strong and deep incolor. The third reel does have some faint scratching (see photos)

The machine has an originalWatling cash box. Original back door hasW logo and a period lock/key.
