The color can best be described as warm honey-browns. The flash has added warmth and contrast in some photos.
WHITE SPOTS AND STREAKS ARE REFLECTIONS AND GLARE FROM THE LIGHTING.The box measures 5 5/8ths inches long by 4 1/8th inches high and 4 1/8th inches deep. There is a 1/100th of an inch deviation in the closure of the box caused by humidity changes over decades.
No cracks, gouges, odors or stains. I find some wear on the bottom edge in front: a thin sliver of missing wood in that corner. It\'s easier seen by flipping the box over.
