Antique Vtg Tramp Art Box Wood Sawtooth Chip Carved Primitive - 1919 w/Key:

Fantastic notch or chip carved Tramp art box with lock and key. Boldly dated 1919 in two locations, possibly intended as a gift to be used as a small jewelry box or sewing box.
Exterior also has additional art deco metal embellishments on the front panel as well as lions. Panels are upholstered in a blue or black velvet. The entire box has been wonderfully cared for and is in remarkable condition given the age. Two names (possibly Dutch or German) are inside the box. Difficult to read.
The key does turn freely but the lock does not work. It could possibly be repaired. Displays beautifully.
Overall excellent condition. A few nicks on the wood in places, but all of the fabric used is in fantastic condition.
Dimensions are 11" x 7" x 8"
