Vintage padded eyelet lace embroidery panel insert or plate in a creamy ecru color...
Displayed in a grouping, this listing is for 1 padded eyelet lace embroidery plate which is useful for Normandy lace-making, sachets, dress fronts, pillows, bedspreads, etc. It features an ornate floral motif with vines, greenery and drawnwork along a sheer, soft cotton lawn, and is unfinished all around.
The round-shaped embroidery work measures ~3&5/8 inches in diameter and is surrounded by sheer soft cotton lawn for insertion.
There are a total of 18 plates available for purchase, which is very useful for making large-scale Normandy lace articles, bedspreads, multiple matching pillow covers, etc.
Appears unused. In overall very good condition with yellowing, some scraggly threads/fraying along the lawn edges, a rare light or tiny spot, and occasional enlarged pinpricks.
