Refined antique French hand embroidery organdy cotton salesman sample panel in a warm creamy ecru...
Dainty in texture and appearance, this refined original salesman sample is useful for Normandy lace patchwork projects, embellishing dress fronts, doll apparel, pillows, etc. It features an elegant, meandering floral motif showcasing padded whitework hand embroidery with eyelet details, vines & greenery on ultra-sheer, soft organdy cotton, and is unfinished along all sides with silk remnants visible along two sides. Occasionalembroidery pattern markings are present along the edges. \"No. 5177 4.45... Made in France\" tag is attached to the corner of the panel. Measures overall ~15 inches long, ~6\" wide, and unfinished along all sides.Appear unused. In overall very good condition with yellowing, fraying along the unfinished edges, very mild soilage with some glue-like remnants mostly along the backside and occasionaloriginal markings as noted above.
