$287.95

Antique Vintage Deckor Frinsilber 28 RWBarva. RareDecoration: Silver/Smoke finish with hand painted white flowers and red accents. This is a beautiful set! It feels delicate and certainly draws attention to it's self! It appears to be a one of a kind as there were no others like it with the white flower design, on the internet, at the time of this listing. In spite of the age of this set, there are no chips or cracks. A little wear shows on some of the edges and one cup is missing. The beautiful porcelain pieces were designed and hand painted during the 1930's. They have a soft, beautiful lusterware shine to the silver/black/smoke finish over white, where the white barely shows on most of the pieces. The edges of the pieces are scalloped and trimmed in a soft gold paint.Functional and Collectible pieces that include the following: 22 Total Pieces in this Set1 Pitcher 7 1/4" x 9"1 Lid for the pitcher1 Creamer1 Sugar bowl1 Sugar bowl lid6 Dessert plates 7 1/2"6 Tea cup saucers 5 1/2"5 Tea cups 4 1/2"Some interesting history about this beautiful tea set and dessert plates. The bottoms are stamped with the following: Dekor Feinsilber 28 RW (Rodolf Wachter 1917-1974) Bavaria. Translated, that means, Decoration Fine Silver. They were German made in the US zone where porcelain production started up around the date of 1925. Wachter produced very fine lusterware up until the late 1920's, that was mainly exported to the United States and Italy. During the later part of the 1920's, this particular production was gradually substitutedwith various forms of metal overlay that was mostly silver. This eventually resulted in a design that would become the signature or specialtyof the company and remained until the closing of the factory. It was known as their special full silver plating where each item was covered in a matt silver and refired, then polished by hand. This particular set is rare and has the beautiful hand painted white flowers, accented with tiny red flowers.
