This exquisite antique goblet is from an estate collection of luxury glassware which included items by Tiffany, Lalique, etc. It features a forest scene with a woodsman pursuing a deer which is carved into the glass using engraving tools in the Bohemian style. It is very well done, with attention to fine details and textures such as the hunter's beard, the fabric of his bag, and the deer's fur. Very labor-intensive high quality artisan glasswork. I am not sure of the exact age of this piece, but it could very well date to the 1800's. It is relatively large, measuring about 11.5" tall. As you can see, this item is in very good condition for its age, with some light overall surface wear including a small scrape at the base of the tree near the hunter but no chips, cracks, etc. Please see all photos.
