Instruction sheet calls this item a BRIX FINISH DRINK TESTER. Looks like it was used to measure different kinds of soda.
I found this item at an estate sale in Wisconsin. It looks to be complete, along with the instruction sheet, still in the box it came in. Doesn't look like it was ever used.
I tried to research this item. I could find modern Brix testers, but no old ones. So perhaps this is a very uncommon item. Looks like the maker was Carbonic Dispenser, Inc. Canfield Ohio. I could find no info on this company. The instruction sheet is dated from 1954.
