Antique Vintage Quilt Top Cheddar, Red, Shirting ~ Late 19th Century ~ 80" x 84":

This is a graphic beauty with cheddar, red, and a shirting. It measures about 80 x 84 and is pictured on a full size bed. This quilt did have a previous life as maybe a summer quilt. It has never been quilted and I see no evidence of it having been tied. What I do see is some threads from a previous hem along the edge. It is all sewn by hand. The back is thready and it smells a little musty and definitely needs a bath, but it is more than strong enough to be quilted. There are some age stains such as shown in the fifth picture that should wash or soak out. I think would be stunning quilted.
