UGH. This is one of the biggest disappointments I\'ve ever had in purchasing a kimono. So, I bought this off a vendor here on who shall not be named but sells a whole ton of kimono. I got into a big war because LOOK, LOOK how gorgeous and stylish this piece is, but the seller neglected that this piece was legit falling apart at the seams. Last thing I\'ve ever bought from them, for sure, but this poor thing is looking for a new home. I can\'t sew. It\'s not from lack of trying; I\'m just not good at it. Stitching a haneri or fixing a few popped stitches is one thing, but not restitching a whole kimono.The really, really good news about this piece is the actual silk is minty. I don\'t think this kimono was ever worn; and that makes that dry rot of the stitches even more of a tragedy. There\'s no smudging on the collar; and the silk is so crisp that this thing can nearly stand up on its own. There is no holes or tears to the fabric. The silk is really strong; I made sure to test it all over; tug on it, yank it, make sure it didn\'t do the sad banana dance because I wouldn\'t sell a piece like that. It\'d just hit the garbage can. So, I\'m selling it as either remake or for someone to restitch. It\'s absolutely not wearable. There are a few seams that feel good, but there\'s more that are just popping open on the slightest yank. I would highly recommend fully re-sewing the entire thing. It\'s a beautiful and stylish piece; however; fairly retro; maybe 1960s.
I only ship within the continental US + Alaska + Hawaii. I cannot ship to APO/military bases overseas. I do not deal with customs forms at all, this is just a side thing I do for enjoyment, and international shipping just gives me really big anxiety. I also do not have a printer and overseas prepaid labels require a printer and cannot be generated with a QR code which is how I ship all my packages via USPS. Thank you for understanding.
