The box is in good condition, especially considering its many years of use. The blue paint has begun to fade, and there are multiple chips throughout the chest. There is a long crack on the lid. It is still strong and held together, but it is a point of structural weakness. The shoulder strap is intact and is not torn. However, it has begun to fray on the edges. The hinges operate well and do not seize. The locking mechanism is intact. Very good example that is probably around 50 to 60 years old.
