Antique Vintage 1893 COLUMBIA EXPOSITION Wood BOX. Stands 3\" high, 9 1/2\" x 5 3/4\". Featuring color image of the Electrical Building. Made of light, thin 1/4\" wood and painted black. The interior lid is lined with red paper, a mirror with a gold and black scroll border. 2 lower compartments, the front compartment is painted red and has a stick cushion in the center, the back compartment has a ruby velvet material base for 3 pen/pencil holder. Lift the base to reveal storage. There is scratching and missing walls (picture 10) The lock does not work. No makers marks. I don\'t know the origin of this box, but it does have age and could have been sold as a souvenir of the Exposition.If you like antiques, I have another shop. Look under seller ERINBARBARA.
