Antique, dated December 25, 1867 Tin Types Family Photo Album Leather with 3 Tins. This photo album and the leather are in excellent antique condition for its age. There is some yellowing on the pages but that isn’t abnormal for the age. The front page says Album of Photographs, has a handwritten name and date, a Christmas gift I assume. I was able to make out the last name is Johnson’s and the date is December 25, 1867. I took a photo of that page so if you zoom in you should be able to read it as well. There are 3 pictures in the album I’m going to assume that they are the Johnsons and those pictures are from that time period. The leather binding has some marks but overall very good and the snaps on the side are in very good condition. The snaps are brass they have a decorative leaf cut out on them. There are two leaf cut outs on one of the closures and one leaf cut out on the other. On the cover in gold embossed is the initials M. L. J. And there is also more golden embossing around the front cover. The outside of the album pages on the the right side the top, and the bottom are gold with the flowers and leaves embossed on the pages. Please see pictures as they are part of the description.
