Pictured andoffered for sale is a ATTRACTIVE, Handmade, Antiquejewelry casket, box in a most solid Minty Condition. Handmade construction, silver soldered, gold soldered. very solid. The last two pictures helps to datethis antiquejewelry casket. Shown in both the locked closed position, and the open position, this clasp does date the box to the late 1800's. The same C clasp is commonly used in jewelry, pins, et. from thistime period.
CONDITION SPECIFICATIONS :1. The thick beveled glass lid has NO CHIPS, No scratches.2. The lid closes properly as it should. No wobble, no looseness. Two Hinges aretight NO looseness. The heavy C Clasp works solidly as designed,firm to open and close.3. Box construction is very solid, silver & Gold soldered. Four ball feet are perfect.4. Interior satin is NOT stained, not worn. Tufted, there should be 7 small decorative balls used in the floor tufting. 6 are present, 1 missing.
