Antique Two 16½\" Picture Frames Gold Enamel Cast Iron Grapevine Motif Horned God:

An identical set of two amazing oval high relief gold enameled cast iron frames decorated in a grapevine motif with acanthus leaves and a horned god, possibly Dionysis or Bacchus, Greek gods of wine. The frames measure approximately 16 1/2\" tall, 12 1/2\" wide and 1\" deep. Both have glass panes in the front and beautiful colorful floral bouquet prints that look a lot like American Flora prints. There are light smudges under the glass and since we have not removed the prints, it\'s hard to tell if the smudges are on the prints or the underside of the glass. There are some spots on the frames where there are chips or wear of the gold enamel but they are otherwise in wonderful condition. There are wires attached to two holes on the surface of the back for hanging.
