I am pleased to offer a unique antique inkwell with attached stand.

This piece is ofheavy solid brass, which is ornately designed with faces, animals, mythology and biblical reference

The centered inkwell features a single wingedcreature that resembles a dog of sorts. Beneath the creatures is a depiction of St. George and the Dragon.

The sides of the inkwell are detailed in raised figurals of thecameos ofa man and woman.

The base has raised faces as well as what appear to be swan heads on the handles.

The removable inkwell is ceramic, and is marked "BennetFurnishing Company - Glasgow" It fits a bit loosely in the holder, so I am unsure it if is original to the piece.

Rarepiece measures 10-3/4" X 7-3/4" X 5-1/4"

Condition:

Nice overall condition. Brass shows moderate patina throughout and some areas of polish reside in the cracks. The piece in complete and intact. The removable well has a few small chips and wear, but is usable. Displays very well.
