This antique tin type style metal photo includes what appears to be the original paper display sleeve/folio and features a blurry image of an elderly / older Victorian era woman dressed in what is possibly mourning style fashion. It will make an excellent addition to your vintage or antique photography collection whether your focus is on turn-of-the Century fashion or unintentionally creepy/spooky photography. It does have quite a bit of wear including scratches, rust, stains, the paper is torn/ripped/missing pieces/dry rotted/falling apart and more so PLEASE read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. Approximate weight is .2 ozs
Measures approximately2.5" x 4" including the paper sleeve. The tintype alone measures approximately 2" x 3"
>>>Condition: In AS-IS antique pre-owned condition with wear and damage including crazing, crackling, cracks, dents, dings, dirt, dust, grime, scratches, abrasions, stains, bends, creases, rust, patina, tarnish, discoloring, missing surface plating, there is an oval impression left by a paper matting sleeve type folder that it would have originally came in, dulling, gunk/grime/residue, bubbling, fingerprints, chemical residue on the edges, lent/fibers, it is not cut perfectly square at all, the edges are cut at a curve, chipping along the edges and the image impression is actively flaking away at the edges, warping, rough/sharp edges, discoloring, in addition to overall wear from age and handling. IN ADDITION, the paper sleeve is brittle, dry rotted, ripped, yellowed, stained, frayed, dented, torn, discolored, missing the piece that would have folded around to cover the front of the photo, activelydisintegrating, THE TINTYPE DOES NOT STAY INSIDE THE PAPER SLEEVE AS THE SIDES ARE RIPPED OPENand it is slowly falling apart. Origin: I purchased the photo in Indiana, USA, but I do not know where it originally came from

Type: I am not certain if this is a standard tintype tin type or a chocolate tintype
