Original circa 1860, sixth-plate tintype photo of a dog relaxing on the front porch of a house. Tintype is behind glass and housed in its original late-1850s thermoplastic photo case, oval design, with a nice raised, floral design on its covers (same design on both front and back), and original manufacturer\'s label inside.
Case is 3.5\" x about 3\" when closed and is in overall very good antique condition, complete and intact with one or two minor issues, including the common hole/chip over the clasp hardware. The tintype is in very good antique condition with one minor scuff near the bottom-right, and what might be a very light bend.. hard to tell through the glass..
NOTE: The light-colored, square shape at about 6 o\'clock is some residue on the OUTSIDE of the glass and can be cleaned off.. I just forgot to. The tintype is slightly LOOSE in the case, so it should be handled with care, or it could fall out.Shipping by boxed Priority Mail. 5379(x)
