superbly preserved through the years with little loss to pages 3-16; the front cover, although in great unstained shape, has losses of paper in each corner area; the back cover has less damage in corners, nice color retention with a bit of creasing and smudging; the spine has both covers detached; the inner pages are well attached to the spine, are nicely intact, without paper losses or stains; overall aging is very modest

on page 2, \"Jonathan Edward Shelby Santa Clause 1913\" is proudly pencil inscribed at the top
