Available for purchase is a very nice example of antique Staffordshire porcelain decorated in pink lustreware. Much of the pink lustreware has been attributed to the Sunderland manufactory and many pieces of Staffordshire are also called Sunderland.
This jug holds 3 cups of liquid or 24 ounces. It is 5" high with a greatest diameter of 3-3/4".The piece is hand decorated in pink lustreware paint with a view of a quiet country house and landscape. I do not see any chips or cracks but there is wear to the lustreware trim on the handle and top of pitcher. See photos for closer look. There is fine, subtle crazing under the outer glaze involving the entire piece.
This pitcher is in very good antique condition and would be a great addition to a collection or as an accent piece.
