I am selling an EXTREMELY RARE, Solid Cast Iron, Childs Bed, Salesmans Sample, with the Original Metal Mattress Springs. It is just like a real size Iron bed, in every way. For displaying your dolls, this charming Antique Bed is exceptional. It dates from the late 1890s-very early 1900s. Stunning detail. You may never find another like it. Manufactured by the Art Bed Co. Chicago, Illinois USA. Marked, as such, on all 4 sides of the Bed. See photos. The Bed has the Original Gold Finish. Original Metal Springs, and Caster Wheels on the legs. See photos. The Headboard is decorated with this Nursery Rhyme- "Dolly Dearie go to bed.

Rest your sleepy little head.

Close your little eyes so bright.

Good night Dolly Dearie good night."

So Victorian sweet. The Footboard is decorated with the Original Illustration, of Victorian Children playing outdoors.

The Bed is in wonderful Antique condition, with expected wear and patina of an Antique. Very heavy. Will be disassembled for shipping. Can be quickly, and very easily put back together. It measures approximately 26 1/2" long and approximately 17" wide. Approximately 20" high. Can be used, (as seen in my photos) to display dolls.
