I apologize because i did not see the old repair on this item until after everything was washed, written, and photographed. That is how hard it was to see it until I was describing any defects and enlargening pics. I had looked at and felt all around and missed it. I did cut my asking in half.

This really pretty floral vase or planter was made in Germany by Steingut-Fabrik und Kunsttöpferei F.A. Mehlem, Inh. F. Guilleaume (1884 until 1920). The maker's mark on the bottom reflects this time period. This piece sat on the Hoosier cabinet for about 60 years and was well cared for. Still retains high glaze. Measures 5 & 1/2" tall, 5" across top, and almost 6" on bottom, and weighs almost 2 pounds. No chips cracks or crazing. There is one spot along the bottom with discoloation. I dont know what it is, it may be a very old repair, but we never repaired it, shows in pic 2. There is wear to the gold gilt along the light beaded top and scalloped bottom. I tend to believe this might be towards the older time because of the simplicity of the vase and the artwork. Just a guess.

I will always try to give accurate descriptions with as much detail as I can see, but my eyes are a little old and tired now. If at any time I miss a flaw please let me know so I can correct the mistake. I ship with great care and proper insurance.
