Antique R.S. Prussia china serving bowl with hand-painted florals and early R.S. Prussia red mark (c. 1880s-1917).Purple shadow florals and central hand-painted purple and white carnations on white china.Arched edge, with eight gold-decorated arches.Raised ring on base. 10-1/2” diam. X 2-3/4” deep.

Mold name unknown.The bowl’s edges are simpler in design than R.S. Prussia’s more frequently seen ornate molds.The china is not translucent, so does not appear to be true porcelain.Unpainted areas show glaze, with high glaze to bottom; an unglazed bottom could indicate an antique clay reproduction.(Source: realorrepro.com)

Condition:No cracks, hairlines, repairs, or paint loss.Minor gold loss.One arch shows two small chips approx. 1/8” on front and 3/8” on back.View photos.

Provenance:Family heirloom piece stored in my parent’s china cabinet many decades(mother 1920-2013; father 1908-1986).
