This antique radio, Philco Model 655X, was manufactured in the United States between 1936-37. It is a great addition to any collection of vintage electronics. The radio features a classic design and is made by the well-known brand Philco. It is perfect for display or as a functional piece.
The case is beautiful and pristine. The radio powers on and does get some scratchy reception. One speaker appears to have been replaced but the rest of the radio appears to be original.
This radio must be picked up or shipment arranged post payment.

There are the following models: 655B, 655H, 655MX, 655PX, 655RX and 655X. For the Baby Grands the speaker is model K17 and for the \"furniture models\" speaker H13. For repairs please read first Rider\'s volume 8 changes 8-2 because there were alterations and there are errors in the schematics - for instance the tube layout shows a tube 85 instead 75 as second detector but in the schematic itself it is correct a 75. All 655 series models use a shadow meter as tuning indicator.
