COTY AMBRE (1910) PERFUME GLASS BOTTLEHere is a piece of art, from a great French Art Nouveau and Are Deco designer- RENE LALIQUEIt is a perfume glass bottle designed by Rene Lalique in 1910 for the COTY brand of perfumes.This model is well known and was sold by very prestigious sale houses (e.g. Cristies Design, October 2018). It depicts 4 Grecian style female models dressed in robes in various poses. Bottle is triangular shaped
Based on the information from the Lalique Museum website ):

\"Female figures were one of René Lalique\'s most treasured themes: this perfume bottle features four young women dressed in the antique style carrying flowers. Each figure is slightly different, but they all have a reddish brown patina on the moulded silhouettes that enhances the motif appearing in bas-relief on very fine, acid-etched frosted glass.

By the way:this was the third piece René Lalique designed for the famous perfumer, François Coty. The encounter with Coty was a milestone in René Lalique\'s career, as Lalique had previously been renowned as a jeweller.\"

The model is also depicted in the Le Genie Verrier de l\'Europe by Giuseppe Cappa p. 291, 2nd edition by Mardaga (see photos).IMPORTANT:As can be seen, the glass stopper is BROKEN- lower part of the stopper stuck in the bottle (I would can be pulled by a knowledgeable restorator). Still, the essence of the art in this piece is still here.
