RARE Antique Prohibition Era "The Quiet Woman" and "Temperance" Cross Stich Framed Art.Frames measure appx 10x13".
Fabric appears to be very old. The Quiet Woman and Temperance Movement was prominentin the 1800's following the Civil War in an effort to minimize the rising use of alcohol post-war.
Please see pictures for condition. Selling this As Is, As Found. We did not remove the fabric art from the frame for inspection. Evident that these pieces have been put into frames long after they were made. Plenty of tape marks on the back from trying to hold fabric into place. Water marks on the corner of the paper matting and fabric itself.
