Up for sale here is a Pre WW1 M1910 USMC Mills Cartridge Ammo Belt. This Belt features 10 Ammo Pouches with Rimmed Eagle Snaps which all function!! Also, there is an inner "Snapped Holder" which are also all present and functioning!! The Date Stamp on the back shows a Bullet/Round with Mills stamped inside of it. Underneath that is " Pat. Jan 29 1901 ~ Mar 29 1904 ~ July 16 1907 ". This patent appears on both Belt Adjusters. There is a small amount of fraying on 2 Pouches, some minor wear and belt has a small bit of dirt on it. I'd say for 110 plus year old Belt it's "exemplary" considering it's fully functional.
Also with this lot is a 1918 Canteen in Canvas Holder. The Holder also has Eagle Snaps but not rimmed. The Front is marked with the Crossed Rifles and US underneath it, Then it is also stamped with 17 9 under the US.The Canteen is marked US ~ F & C 1918 & there is a weld seam present.
