For your consideration is this antique postcard. It bears no publisher mark making it difficult to ascertain the maker. The front side of the postcard is absolutely beautiful....probably my favorite card from this lot. With all features embossed, their is a stately Turkey perched upon a wooden fence by a pumpkin patch with an old farmhouse in the background. There is a metallic gold border on the top half of the card and the pumpkin, bloom and vine were all outlined in the same metallic gold finish. Below the image reads \"Thanksgiving Joys\". The backside of the card bears a 1¢ stamp and was postmarked in Brookhaven, Mississippi on Jan 29, 1912. It reads \"Thanksiving Series No. 7\" on the left hand side. The card was addressed to Miss Lucy Warren of Hays, Mississippi. The standard size (5.5\" x 3.5\") postcard is in good overall condition with slight corner wear, and discoloration to the backside...common for paper of this age. An absolutely delightful piece of ephemera.
