At the time of this listing, I have a collection of 15 of these portraits of businessmen from New Jersey. The men that I could find online had job positions that included Monmouth County Clerk, Monmouth Co. Agricultural Railroad, sheriff, lawyers, teachers. Because these are all matted the same and have the W. M. and the year they served for whatever position this was for, I am assuming at one point these men all held the same job title. I could not find what the W. M. stands for. If anyone knows...please email me with info! I have spent 3 hours researching these and could find very little info on most of these men. On a couple of the men, they had the railroad in common.
The large matted board measures 11 x 14 inches.
