Welcome to my sale for this antique estate fresh find! This is an original photo from the 1917 GAR reunion celebrating the 70th birthday of Commander David Howard, from the 64 Ill. Infantry and based on my research, a member of Yates\' Sharpshooters. There are 13 Civil War veterans and the photo taker an person who identified all of the gentlemen makes 14. The photo gives ages of each of the listed soldiers and mentions the overall average age as well. G.A.R. Post 526 was based in Mason County Havana, Illinois and many of the soldiers were buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

The small metal tag at the bottom lists James Harlow\'s information and the fact that he was part of the 11 Ill. Cavalry. I didn\'t want to remove the tag, but I was able to see his military info on the reverse side.

The framed original photo measures approx. 17.5\" by 15.5\". Yes, it has wear and yes, it is discolored, but it is still an amazing piece of history!
