A+ intricate, fine needlework stitching on perforated paper: FATHER OF LIGHT AND LIFE, prayer by Scottish poet James Thomson (1700 - 1748). This beautifully presents the prayer’s 44 words signed by JANE CURRIE 1855. The perforated paper hole punch appears to be 24-26 count per inch (see last pic) with visible size under glass 8” x 4.25”; frame size is 12.5” x 8.75” with 1” depth. Please see pictures as part of the description.

I find no broken stitches or thread loss. The perforated paper is in good antique condition with no obvious moisture spots, one identified 1” vertical fracture at top, and one 1.5” stitched repair in lower right. There are a few tiny size white dots which I can’t identify; uncertain if on the perforated paper or glass. Antique frame is sturdy, has lovely wood grain appearance on front, black paint on sides, paint splatters (?) on top which are not seen when hung. There are limited age related scratches on frame and crazing on front finish, but presents well. Glass is present. Gold inset is in good condition. Back has paper cover and a center hanging hook.
