Experience the rich Native American culture with these antique handmade snowshoes. Measures: 37 inches long x 10 inches wide. Crafted with care in the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, 1870s to early 1900s; these snowshoes are a true piece of history. The intricate red tuffs add a pop of color to the traditional design. Tied with reused canvas military straps to tie feet on to snowshoe. Straps look like the canvas one used on 1870s-1880s soldier\'s canteens. Along the line, someone added rubber material on top to connect to shoes. NOT a tourist item and NOT a repro. These are the \"real deal\" from over 120 years ago !!! No tribal affiliation known. I bought these in the midwest years ago. See all photographs and details as No Returns.
