This collectible copper gorget was crafted by a skilled artisan, around 1935+ This is my grandfather‘s, who lived in the panhandle of Oklahoma, Tyrone.
Its unique design showcases the rich culture and history of Native Americans in the United States. It is handmade craftsmanship is Quality. I imagine leather or chain necklace of some sort would slip through the bent hoops, to hold securely. The copper chain hoop are not broken. They have been bent to accommodate chain or other. It is stamped Solid Copper. The copper gorget is a beautiful antique collectible. A great addition to any collection or a great gift for someone who appreciates Native American art and culture.
The pattern details looks like Southwestern Colorado. I can’t be certain. this item is a perfect collectible, native American item of historical significance.
