Antique Napoleon III Inlaid Wood Boulle Glove Box Curved Front:

This antique wood Napoleon III box is just in from France. The box has a slightly domed lid with brass and mother of pearl inlays combined with several inlaid woods, burl, king and some dark wood. The front panel folds down like any good glove box should, so the gloves can be lifted out easily. The front of this box is curved with the curve matching the lid, which reflects the skill of the craftsman who made it. The inside of the box is black laquer, which is in excellent condition. Rhe outside of the box is also in very good condition except for one small brak in the veneer on the bottom side, see last photo. This is consistent with age.Measurements are: 11 3/4\" by 4 1.2\" and 3 3/4\" tall.
