This rare Notre Dame pennant. Collegiate schoolcolors blue and gold, legendary NCAA Fighting Irish football team. Large 29” sizeolder pennant with battle scars to prove it, still displays nicely. When possible or necessary,pennants are shipped flat, otherwise all are carefully protected, looselyrolled-up, and shipped in a box. ⭐APPROXIMATE SIZE: Length = 29 in (73.66 cm), width = 10.5in (26.67 cm).
⭐CONDITION: Good+, has signs of battle wear and agepatina; tassel tails are knotted but appear complete, tip has minor clipping, twoholes near the tip and lower left corner, small bite in yellow border, blemishunder the seal and hole near it looks like they were caused by burns (all visiblein the pics), screen-printed graphics and lettering sharp. Review images forcondition accuracy and verification.
⭐ADDITIONAL INFO: Many pennants from 1930s and later weremanufactured by the ‘Keezer’ company, Plaistow NH, this may or may not be one.I have over 120 vintage pennants I am in the process of listing.
⭐WHERE I GOT IT: Maine sale house (years ago).
⭐ERA OF ORIGIN: 1920s-1940s.
⭐SUMMARY: Older felt pennants like this arebecoming hard to find. Authentic felt pennants are machine handsewn usingmultiple components. Modern pennants originating around the 1980s started to bemade in one piece from thin synthetic felt-like material- no components orstitching.
