History of the Object
This an Antique mexican mask from the State of Puebla, from Sierra Norte, although the provenance of the mask is unknown and probably might come from Cuetzalan, these kind of masks were made to be worn in the \"Dance of Santiagos\", being used as a representation of a Pilato, this is due the color of the mask, an antagonist to Santiago or \"Saint James\".
