Rare antique bronze? copper? letter opener featuring a carved mermaid silhouette. Piece has wonderful patina and is hallmarked with Danish artist’s name KIRSTEN PEDERSEN. Pedersen was born in the 1800’s and created metalwork designs in Copenhagen. Remaining pieces of her work are very hard to find, and this piece is just excellent. Letter opener measures 6.5” long and is in good antique condition (slight bend/wave in blade portion.) Beautiful!
