Antique Meissen Porcelain Figure group ‘The Rape of a Sabine‘, modeled by Johann J. Kaendler, hand painted sculpture depicts a male figure stands carrying the struggling Sabine woman over his shoulder, both swathed in classical drapery of bright blue & gentle lavender colors, figure stands on an oval base with scrolling & floral motif design.

Marked: Meissen crossed double swords, impressed & painted numbers
