Antique Meissen Augustus Rex Quatrefoil Hand painted Covered Urns with Watteau Panels
Hard Paste Porcelain, each hand painted, in the manner of Watteau on two sides with discrete panels of figures at various pursuits in gardens among flowering shrubbery, the other two panels a rich claret ground with flowers. Panels are edged in elaborate gilt scrollwork. The domed covers are similarly decorated with smaller figural panels on either side of the gilt ovoid finials.

AR marks in underglaze-blue.
