This antique Masonic pictorial family Bible, manufactured in the United States is a wonderful book. a fascinating rare find for any collector or enthusiast of historical memorabilia.Distributed by the Philadelphia Bible House, the Bible has wonderful vibrant color illustrations as well as photographs and pen and ink drawings. There is a section available to list the Masonic organization information as well as a Birth/Death/Memorandum section located between the Old and New Testaments. The pages have gilt edges.The sales pamphlet included shows the original price of $25 which was paid in $2 monthly increments. The bible is heavy weighing in at just under 14 pounds. It is a great piece of history for Bible and Masonic collectors.
The bible is in good antique condition. Bible has not been inscribed with any names. Front cover is becoming detached. All sides of the cover have dirt and show wear. There is a loose Masonic Lodge page that shows wear. The first page has a tear. The second page has a fold. The remainder of the bible is in very good condition. Pictures are vibrant. Pages are not creased. It appears to be unused. See pictures for details.
