About the Product ;This tool has a lever to open platen - the fitted designed plate is 11cm x 8 cm . On back side of plate it is tightened with screw. On all 4 corner , there are 4 screw(3 are working one has lost ) which worksto adjust gap between plate and another surface.1. Its province is not known . There are no kind of verified information available about its past - except it is genuinely old, used and previously owned by other.2. I sourced this item from Dismantled Mechanical garage - closed around 1940 .3. There are no marks or sign . A. Small in Size . B. Extra Heavy weight- 15200 grams. C. Completely Manual lever operations. D. It is made of Cast Iron , few parts are made of non magnetic alloys or Aluminum / Metal. E. This machine has no roller. There seems nothing to spread ink . Probably , a Machine specially designed to embosses / engraving metal sheets .? F. Hard to say about its age but it is more than 80 years old.4. My R&D suggest, this product is much identical to ,“The Craftsmen Machinery Company of Boston, Massachusetts.5. Apparently all working , No part is damaged or missing but hard to guarantee the same.

The Press measures - H- 30 cm (12\'\' ) L - 25.5 cm (10\") x wide - Open - 41 cm (16\") Closed - 21 cm (8.5\")The Platen measures - Outer side Maximum - 14 cm (5.5\" ) x 10 cm (4\'\' )The fitted platen - photo no. 12 is 11 cm x 8 cm.The platformopens in 90\" angle.The space for substituteto be printed - is 13 cm ( 5 \") x 11 cm (4.5\")
My conclusion -It has space to fit design mold of 11 cm x 8 cm -where as space for substituteto be embossedor engraved is 13 cm x 11 cm.A machine for embossor engrave maximum to 11 cm x 8 cm .
