Description Offered for your consideration is an antique candle stick telephone. This is a Kellogg phone made of metal, brass and a hard plastic (bakelite). At the back of the mouthpiece are the patent dates of Nov(ember) 26, 1901, March 19, 1907 and April 14, 1908. In addition to the mouthpiece identifying Kellogg, there is a partial label to the bottom marked Kellogg Switchboard & Supply Company. In good to very good 'as found' condition, the phone shows use and handling and does include the (original??) wire, which does have some fraying. The earpiece, made of a hard plastic-like material, does show handling, including a crack (see photo #). I have NOT tested the telephone for it's ability to work. The phone measures about 11 1/2" tall and has a 5 1/4" diameter base. The phone has a total weight of 3 pounds 10 ounces, and will ship at 5 pounds, as it will be double boxed for protection.
