Antique Justin Mathieu Metal Relief. Lived from 1796 - 1864. He was a French sculptor that specialized in reliefs. This is bronze or copper coated in a matt black. It is signed Justin. There is a hole that appears to have occurred during the manufacture of the piece. It has been dusted but would benefit from a good cleaning. This is titled "The procession of St. Louis bearing the crown of thorns". It is in very good condition for it's age. It is very detailed. This measures 15" x 10" including the frame. It does have a more modern hanger on the back. Please see photos for additional details.
