This is a very old mug which has held up well. It does have age related crazing and gold loss. Remarkably there are no chips. There is table wear on the bottom and there is some waviness in the porcelain. I purchased this with a soap dish and vase that they had paired together at the sale but they are different manufacturers even though the patterns were very similar. I think it is a shaving mug due to its size and what is was paired with.
