For yourconsideration is what we believe is an Italian baroque frame suited for mirror or painting. While not experts, we formed this opinion by comparing the frame to others with like characteristics. So we leave it up those more knowledgeable then us as it relates to age, name, style, origin and the like. Any knowledge or suggestions in identifying this lovely frame are welcome.

The frame measures approximately 43-5/8" x 25" x 2-1/8". I think the proper term for the frame is gesso over wood with gold gilt. At one time, the frame accommodated this 35-1/2" x 16-1/2" print: class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: normal;">Condition: Again, we are not experts but will do the best we can describing and photographing condition. If we missed something or need to clarify anything, please drop us a line.

Overall we think the frame is in nice condition except some wear or rubbing on the top portion of the giltwhere the gesso is showing. I don't know what caused this except maybe the wayit was stored or wrapped (see last two images in the gallery). The frame doeshave some normal, light expected wear for its age.
