This is a great looking, antique name plate off a vintage buggy or carriage. It is 2 5/8" by 3/4", and is nickel plated brass. It is from C.L. Reed of Wichita, Kansas, who was a buggy maker who rebuilt buggies. This is a rebuilt buggy plate. These name plates were attached on the back end of the buggy body in the center.
