FRENCH TRINKET BOX A pretty little bronze trinket box (formerly silvered) with a bevelled glass lid and the original quilted silk interior. The exterior has a renaissance style theme all round and the finish has attained a faded-grandeur appearance with a heavy degree of tarnish and verdigris.Date: late 19th or early 20th Century.Condition: Fair functional original condition. The hinge works well, the lid clips and shuts nicely. The lining is original but has some damage, fading and deterioration. The box was formerly silver plated and only remnants remain, most noticeably around the inside edges where the lid sits. The finish is deeply tarnished and the bronze has significant verdigris.Dimensions:
