This antique ticking is BEAUTIFUL and very rare to find! This wonderful French ticking is a linen ticking that dates to around 1870 and is in the style of Napoleon III. It has a lovely beige ground with berry red stripes and is a herringbone weave... simply beautiful! It's smooth and wonderfully sturdy, and would be ideal for upholstery projects, pillows and many other wonderful sewing projects! It would make gorgeous pillows, and would be a stunning addition to any farmhouse interior!
MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures approximately 53 inches by 81 inches ~*~
CONDITION: I have left this lovely fabric in as found, unwashed condition but it can be machine washed and tumbled dry. The selvage is intact on both sides, but one side has been cut a bit so the selvage isn't entirely intact along the entire side. The ends are raw/unhemmed. There are some scattered tiny holes and pinholes, as well as a few very faint marks; see photos and use the zoom feature to see details. This ticking isn't perfect, but it's perfectly wonderful for anyone who appreciates the signs of time and use inherent in these wonderful antiques!inv #: ticking 654J20220121
