19th Century Napoleon III Boulle marquetry liquor cellar

•4 original crystal decanters + 3 matching crystal glasses with hand painted with gold leaf. Upon researching, there are similar Napoleon III liquor cellars/decanters indicating that the crystal could likely be Baccarat or Saint Louis France. They are not marked, as it was uncommon for Baccarat to be stamped in the 1800’s. Because of this, I cannot confirm 100% certainty it is Baccarat or Saint Louis Crystal.

• Each decanter has their own etched numbers on the decanter lid stoppers. *There are 2 decanters with chips to the decanter stopper lids*. There are also some fleabite chips along the edges of the decanters.

•The tray that holds the decanters and glasses is removable to keep in or out of the box. The wooden tray has beautiful bronze leaf detailing. It holds a total of 16 glasses.

•The wooden box is in excellent condition for its age. Some of the Boulle brass inlay is missing with age. There is brass, mother of pearl, and I believe red tinted tortoiseshell inlay as it was common with Boulle marquetry. Boulle was a french cabinet maker and his marquetry process with the brass inlay/mother of pearl was very intricate work.
